Battlefield 2 Stat Sites shut down
It seems that EA/Dice has brought the hammer down on some Battlefield 2 Stat sites like the one I linked to here, as well as BF2Tracker. A message posted on Bf2s.com states:
Site Offline 7/13
I'm in contact with EA/DICE/IGN about resolving the issue of websites querying stats, but for the time being stats will not update from EA's servers. Previously cached stats will show up where avialable, but will not be up-to-date.
I hope to have everything back up and running in 24 hours or so.

What the hell is EA so anal? I really appreciated the detailed info that a site like BF2Player.com provided. Furthermore, BF2Player.com was incredibly prompt at posting a player current stats.
I truly wish EA would put as much time and effort into "securing" Battlefield 2 to prevent the blatant hacking and cheating as they do with issues as this.
